World-renowned Cosmopolitan magazine targets contemporary women by featuring fashion, advice, dating tips and more. They had a goal of driving newsstand sales by offering a bestselling eBook. BookShout was able to create a multi-use code to be printed in nearly 1,000,000 copies of the newsstand issue. The code, printed along with redemption instructions, gifted readers a free copy of Sarah Morgan’s book Unexpected (Harlequin). Readers could redeem the code and start on the web or in the BookShout app reading right away. In addition to incentivizing newsstand sales, BookShout designed this campaign to also gather reader data. It was a resounding success on both counts.
