In conjunction with HarperCollins publishing, BookShout and Folgers launched a “Buy 2, Get 1 Free eBook” promotion across Canadian grocery stores. This gift-with-purchase campaign sought to motivate grocery store customers to buy more Folgers by offering a high-value eBook for free. Participating products included coffee grounds, K-cups, and instant packets.

Consumers received an eBook code on their receipt which was then claimed through an intuitive, step-by-step redemption process. This gift-with-purchase campaign included a custom URL where shoppers could choose from a curated list of 20 different well-known eBook titles. Customers downloaded their choice and read using the BookShout app on their favorite smart device or via the web platform.

Cozying up with a warm beverage and an enticing novel is a classic combination. Folgers knows what it takes to make their customers happy. Nothing wakes you up in the morning like a steaming cup of coffee and a free eBook.
