BookShout Creates eBuzz at Book Expo America 2015


For the 4th year, BookShout will be attending Book Expo America, the publishing industry’s premier event in New York City. This year, our CEO Jason Illian will be speaking on the panel “How Innovation Happens” discussing the factors necessary for innovation to flourish.

One key factor leading innovation is a willingness to explore marketplace drivers like competition, science, and technology. To that end, BookShout is partnering with Book Expo America (BEA)—and participating publishers—to create a cost-effective, digital compilation of excerpts from titles selected  for this year’s BEA Editor’s Buzz Forums, using BookShout’s world-class technology.

The BEA Editor’s Buzz eBook will include excerpts from the categories of Adult, Young Adult, and Middle Grade to match the Forum categories and will be promoted to BEA attendees, exhibitors, media and industry professionals.

Echoing BookShout’s partnership with SXSW2015, our collaboration with Book Expo America marks the first time BEA has offered eBooks as part of its mission, and will make expanding its reach to a wider audience possible.

The power of eBooks lies in their ability to provide an audience immediate access to the most talked about new releases and literary classics at the click of a button. BookShout is providing Book Expo America the tools to strengthen its brand and grow its audience as technology permeates the publishing industry.
